# Plain-English privacy policy.

This site ([waqaspitafi.com](https://waqaspitafi.com)) is operated by Waqas Khan Pitafi as a personal publication. It is not a commercial product. The privacy posture is correspondingly minimal.

## What is collected

-   **Server logs.** Cloudflare Pages records standard request metadata (IP address, user-agent, referrer, timestamp) for security and reliability purposes. Logs are retained per Cloudflare's defaults.
-   **Privacy-respecting analytics.** If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it collects aggregate, cookie-less data. If GA4 is enabled, IP addresses are anonymized.
-   **Contact form submissions.** When you use [the contact form](https://waqaspitafi.com/connect), the name, email, category, and message you submit are sent (via Resend) to my inbox at the routing alias for that category. They are also retained in the email inbox.
-   **hCaptcha.** The contact form uses hCaptcha to filter spam. hCaptcha collects information per its own privacy policy.

## What is not collected

-   No cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking.
-   No third-party social tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no X Pixel).
-   No mailing list cookie. There is no separate newsletter ESP wired for Phase 1.
-   No fingerprinting, session replay, or heatmap tools.

## What happens with your contact submission

It goes to the email alias for the category you selected. I read it. I reply, usually within a week. I do not enrol you in any list. I do not share your email with anyone. If you want me to delete the message after we are done, ask, and I will.

## Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact me and I will delete it.

## Your rights

You can request deletion of any contact message you have sent me by emailing [waqas@devbatch.com](mailto:waqas@devbatch.com). EU/UK readers: this is the same right under GDPR/UK GDPR. California readers: the same right under CCPA/CPRA.

## Changes to this policy

If I change anything substantive, the "Last updated" date at the top changes. The page is in version control; the prior version is recoverable on request.
